 Gaming

If Frolicon's light-hearted and carefree attitudes are starting to get on your nerves, you can always get serious with a little gaming.

Come one, come all to the Frolicon Brand of crazy known as The Game Room... in Two Rooms!

That's right, two rooms. Yay, us!!

In the Game Room, we have all sorts of goings on for you to while away your time between demos, parties and trips to the Play Space. We have board games and card games of such a variety, you'll feel geeked just looking at them.

We have the third annual Settlers of Catan Tournament.

New this year we'll also have a LARP based on White Wolf's Vampire: the Requiem, a great introduction for those interested in gaming and improv acting. No lie, it's really gonna happen, regardless of the side bets the other directors might be taking.

Also new, we'll be having a Charity Strip Texas Hold'Em Poker event. All proceeds go to Frolicon's official charity.

We also plan to have the second annual Jeapordy: Sex Edition. Bring your own favorites and share with as many people as you can rope into a game. Heck, everyone knows: The more the merrier!

The More, the Merrier!

Thursday

On thursday, traffic and travel permitting, we'll have the game of "Who's the Biggest Pervert."

"Who's the Biggest Pervert," is kind of like taking a Purity Test out loud with your friends.

Whereas the vanilla community might look at this game differently, we know that the goal is to win and win big! Come challenge your friends and compete for the title of the Biggest Pervert!

Friday

During the day on Friday we'll see the return of our second annual Frolicon Jeopardy

Hosted by the Game Room staff's own Kuvee, you'll get to pit your kinky and perverse trivia knowledge against other kinky geeks. Prizes will be awarded, so bring your A game and remember... the host's decision is final! Trust me.

On Friday afternoon we'll have a tutorial for Saturday's first ever charity strip poker tournament.

This will explain the Texas Hold'em version of the game being used, the betting system, and all the assorted sundries. If you plan on playing, definitely show up and brush up to play.

Friday night will see the first annual LARP for Frolicon. No, really!

Based in the New World of Darkness from White Wolf, you'll play a fledgling vampire in the fictional city of Riverwhich.

The city could be charitably considered a cesspool. A place of corruption and vice that sees more money flow through it in a month than most small countries see in a year. It's your role to survive while climbing the political ladder... or pushing a meat shield in front of you while you fight your way there. Support the Prince or sabotage her. Either way, leave your mark.

Characters are pre-generated based on the basic characters from the Mind's Eye Theater World of Darkness core and Vampire: the Requiem books. You won't need the books to play, but I always suggest people have their own copies.

Saturday

Saturday starts with a great game called "Red Dragon Inn."

You've beat the rampaging monster and divvied up the treasure. Now what?

Now, you and your adventuring party head on over to the Red Dragon Inn and drink and gamble til you either can't sit above the table or you lose it all. Either way, a good time is had by all. Especially the adventurer left at the table.

Saturday afternoon sees the third annual Settlers of Catan Tournament come into being.

Standard rules will apply with an increased time limit and, for the first time, a party judging cup!

Saturday night will see the first ever Charity Strip Poker Tournament.

A Texas Hold'em style game that will benefit the convention's charity, Saving Shelter Pets.

Rules will be as follows:

·         Tournament follows standard Texas Hold 'Em play until a player has no more clothes or chips to continue play.

·         Players may turn in a garment of clothing for addtional chips for amounts listed at the game itself.

·         A player may continue to re-buy until they have no more clothing.

·         A player may quit at anytime. However, once you stop, you're done.

The final 3 players qualify for Fabulous FroliCon Prizes, including one of the highly coveted Party Judging cups.
