Dances from all over the world, both historical and modern, are based on nature and the surrounding world.  Dance can be a story/history, ritual, for attracting a mate and/or entertainment.  Animal themes include flying, swimming, hunting and mating - elemental themes include storms, waves, volcanoes and growing things.  We will explore the way different animal actions and natural events can be expressed with the body and the connections many such movements hold.  Using expressions, posture and breathing techniques to compliment and enhance actions.  These moves can convey organic and primal feelings to your audience adding texture and meaning to your dance.  This class is experimental movement and will include examples and inspirations from many styles of dance.

Would prefer not to present opposite any pirate and steampunk related panels, so that she can attend those.
